RouteStudy is operated by NOVARUN, LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). We provide software for pipeline corridor routing, cost estimation, and related engineering-planning tools at routestudy.com (the "Service"). This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and how to reach us with questions.

Account information. When you create an account, we collect your name and email address to identify you and secure your account.

Billing information. Subscription payments are handled by our payment processor. We do not receive or store your full card number.

Project data you upload. To run a routing job, we process the GIS data and project parameters you provide - things like parcel and utility layers, start/end coordinates, and pipe specifications - along with the routes, cost estimates, and reports the Service generates from them.

Usage data. We automatically collect standard technical information (like IP address and browser type) when you use the Service, for security and to understand how the product is used.

GIS data commonly used as an input to this tool - county parcel records, for example - often includes property owner names and addresses as part of its own attribute data. If your uploaded files contain this kind of information, we process it as part of running your job. You're responsible for having the right to upload and process any personal information in your own source data.

Some features of the Service - including automatic mapping of your data's columns and drafting the narrative summary of your routing results - are powered by a third-party AI provider (Anthropic). Using these features can send a limited sample of your data (such as example attribute values or summary statistics about a route) to that provider to produce the result. AI-assisted features can be turned off on a per-job basis; when turned off, no data is sent to our AI provider for that job.

We use the information we collect to provide and operate the Service, process payments, communicate with you about your account and jobs, maintain security, and improve the product.

We share information with the service providers that help us run RouteStudy - for example, providers that handle payment processing, authentication, hosting, and the AI features described above - solely so they can perform those functions for us. We do not sell your personal information or your uploaded project data.

We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of NOVARUN, LLC or others.

We retain your account and project information for as long as your account is active, so your project history stays available to you. If you'd like your account or project data deleted, contact us and we'll take care of it.

We use encrypted connections (HTTPS) between your browser and our services, along with access controls intended to limit who can reach production systems and data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.

You can turn AI-assisted features on or off per job. You can update your account information directly within the app. For access, correction, or deletion requests beyond what's available in the app, contact us and we'll respond directly.

The Service is intended for business and professional use and is not directed to individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

We may update this policy from time to time. We'll post the updated version here with a new "last updated" date.
